The May 2016 Chamber of Commerce Luncheon was catered by the Reising Sun and hosted by the folks at Boulders Inn. Chamber President Kyle Matzen was in Washington D.C. so Desiree Pliler, Chamber Treasurer, opened the meeting after the lunch, then led the introductions and gave the current update.
Desiree gave a quick run down of events on our calendar and mentioned the date change for the golf outing.
This month our speaker was Megan Griffith and Ryan Toney of P & M Apparel. Megan shared with us about P & M Apparel's love of supporting local businesses and serving the community by creating things no one else does.
Megan and Ryan also shared about developing a brand for your business and how marketing is developing a conversation and relationship with each individual customer. "When creating your brand you need to find your 'voice'," said Megan. "Make sure your voice is consistent and represents who you are."
Megan also mentioned the importance of having a good website that is easy to find and use. "Wolf Creek Technology designed our new website and our business has increased significantly," explained Megan.
The meeting was closed out by Desiree with a reminder to keep your business info updated with the chamber.
