Dr. Sands is a native of Lawton, IA. He became interested in chiropractic after suffering from headaches and low back pain at a young age.
Chiropractic provided great relief for both of these conditions. This profession soon became his passion, as he wanted to serve others through the gift of Chiropractic.
Dr. Sands’ journey began with a Bachelors Degree from the University of Kansas in 2002. During his time at KU he was a captain of the football team. He went on to play for a short period of time in the NFL and NFL Europe.
Dr. Sands’ conviction became even stronger as he witnessed how countless players’ lives were improved through chiropractic treatment. After spending four years in rigorous studies at Northwestern College of Chiropractic he graduated with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree.
He understands the importance of having state of the art training and received certification in the most advanced and effective soft tissue therapy methods, Active Release Techniques. His chiropractic training has also been improved through seminars at the world renowned Gonstead Clinic in Mt. Horeb, WI.
He is a member of the American Chiropractic Association and the Iowa Chiropractic Society.
He has always maintained an active lifestyle and understands the importance of maintaining optimal health.
Dr. Sands is a lifelong Iowan and much of his family lives in central Iowa. He and his wife, Jennifer, have a 2 year old son, Micah, and a newborn daughter, McKayla. Dr. Sands is excited to become a lifelong member of the community.
He and his family attend Lakeside Fellowship in Polk City. Dr. Sands plans to open a practice based on Christian values, providing quality care with honesty, integrity and results as his goals.
